Miso Garlic Fried Chicken

1/2 cup Red Oak Miso

3 egg whites

1 clove fresh garlic(sub 1/2 tsp garlic powder)

2 Tbsp water

1 tsp salt

Other seasonings to your liking

Fresh chicken (we used boneless breasts, but anything will work just the same)

Seasoned flour (gf flour works great also)

Add miso, egg whites, garlic, water and salt in blender (food processor will suffice) and blend until smooth. Marinate chicken in this marinade for at least one hour.

Dredge marinated chicken in seasoned flour of your choice. Let stand for 5 minutes.

Fry (either deep or shallow) in 350°F neutral vegetable oil (other fats are a welcome substitute) until internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Basic seasoned flour:

2 cups flour (gf flour works great)

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp black pepper

Other seasonings of your choosing

Thoroughly combine all ingredients.
